Zahra's Bio

I am Zahra Rahbari, the Early Childhood Educator (ECE) with 20 years of experience, working with young children and preschoolers. I hold a Master's Degree in English from Iran, ECE and Infant and Toddler certificates, and Food Safe and Healthy Eating in Childcare Setting Certificates from Canada. As a lifelong learner, I have always believed in continuous education and for this reason, currently, I am pursuing my knowledge at UBC, studying Master of early childhood education.
I was there myself, a desperate parent looking for somewhere safe and nurturing to leave my beloved daughter to run errands, go to work or study and sometimes just to have a very short "me time". At April Daycare child's emotional development is the first priority, along with so many other areas such as physical, literacy and social skills, to name a few. I strongly advocate Einstein's quote, "play is the highest form of research".
