Respite provider needed

Miriam's Bio

We are seeking occasional respite for our 15 year old son. He has Cornelia de Lange syndrome, is about the size of an 8 year old old, is mentally around 2 years old, is mostly non verbal but uses TouchChat, wears pull ups, is a flight risk, is fully mobile, and can be quite vocal. He loves adventures, walks in the woods, music, has a goofy sense of humour, and loves to be silly. We receive direct funded respite through the At Home program so we can offer approximately 10 hours per month, more during the summer - mostly outside the home but we may want in-home for the rare date night. We are looking at some after school shifts, Sundays, and during the week during the summer. For in-home shifts, we have a typical 12 year old who can assist. We are located in South Vancouver. You don't need to have your own vehicle as he likes riding transit.
